The rim of the basin is shown at the bottom. A dragon seated in a cave allows water to fall from his raised mouth. Three women sleep on the rocky walls of the cave. Above is a rustic wall with a niche containing the group of Hercules having taken the apples of the Hesperides after Atlas took back the sphere.
