Maria Monaci Gallenga

See all persons.

Early in her career Gallenga worked with Fortuny in Venice and was interested in producing designs which conformed to the shape of the object, be it a dress or panel. Many of her designs are based on the 14th and 15th century. She used metal pigments in her printing.
