Currently the design director of the Museum of Television & Radio in New York City, Dorfsman has been a vital architect of the advertising and design industry, particularly in broadcasting. In 1978, he received the coveted gold medal from the American Institute of Graphic Arts, its highest honor, for his career-long contributions to advertising. He is also the recipient of 12 gold medals from the New York Art Directors Club and has received the President's Medal from the Broadcast Designers Association. (cited 6/16/2004)
